Yoga Class Descriptions

I teach my yoga classes in a dynamic, all-levels format so both experienced and beginning students are welcome.  I teach mostly in the Viniyoga tradition, a harmonious breath-based style of yoga where we mindfully connect our breath and movement and find the unique way yoga expresses itself through our bodies. Join me as we gently and effectively challenge our bodies and minds to develop greater strength, flexibility and ease.

Yoga for Kids and Families with LiziahYoga for Kids and Families

My kids and family classes are creative and playful. We cultivate focus in mind and body and enhance positive relationship with self and others. We engage in yoga postures, games, stories and relaxation. Kids will get an opportunity to both energize and relax their body and minds. Check out my original yoga adventures for kids! Stretch and Fly Yoga DanceStretch and Fly Yoga Dance

Stretch and Fly Yoga Dance is a unique empowering movement practice that combines simple dance moves and yoga.  Experience original choreography that blends flowing movement and dynamic stillness.

Each Stretch and Fly Yoga Dance routine has a theme intended to evoke various expressions of our human experience. Some of these routines include: the Dance of the Warrior, Dance of the Chakras, Dance of Radiant Light and Dance of Release. Co-taught with Jennifer Lucero-Earle.

Classes are 75 minutes long. Class begins dancing and moving with bare feet and ends on the mat.

Yoga for Brain InjuriesYoga for Traumatic Brain Injury

This class is for people in recovery from traumatic brain injury. We focus on strengthening and balancing our bodies, breath and overall system wellness. Contact the Brain Injury Association of Washington for information on how to join our class. www.braininjurywa.org

 

 

Yoga for MS with LiziahYoga for MS

This class is taught at Ballard Hospital for students with Multiple Sclerosis. We work with the yoga tools of movement, breath and meditation in a supportive community. Contact the National MS Society, Greater Northwest Chapter to find out how to join this class.

Private Yoga Instruction With LiziahPrivate Instruction

If you are brand new to yoga, want a customized practice to deepen your yoga path or have injuries or body sensitivities that may not fit a group class private instruction is great. I can also integrate yoga as a support for your mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

 

Kids Yoga for AdultsYoga for Special Needs Children

Yoga is a gentle, effective way to support children with special needs to gain strength, flexibility, increased body awareness, improve motor skills, to focus and calm the mind and soothe the heart. Yoga teaches conscious control of the breath and body empowering kids to influence their state of being to support optimum functioning. Yoga fosters a healthy relationship with self and others by developing mindfulness and compassion. I will custom design yoga practices for your children to address their specific needs. Crystal Singing BowlsYoga and Sound Healing

Join Liziah and Daniella White for this beautiful, healing workshop – a combination of yoga and sound. Liziah leads an all-levels yoga flow while Daniella plays crystal bowls and gongs, inspiring powerful and healing energy to flow within. We conclude with a 20-30 minute Sound Bath, resting in Savasana, while Daniella plays her bowls and gongs. Come experience this restorative practice. Yoga is a beautiful way open and strengthen the connection to our hearts. In this workshop you will explore yoga postures, pranayama (breath) exercises, meditation and visualization to strengthen the connection to your heart. With yoga tools we will stretch the muscles of the ribcage, increase oxygen and blood flow, and explore the heart – its compassion, love, resilience and woundedness.
